Central Teacher Eligibility Test :

Central Teacher Eligibility Test is a Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. According to the government rules and norms, one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the central Government.

Thus TET is laid down as minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointed as a teacher in classes I to VIII. To appear for the exam candidates have to download admit cards and must to carry with them at the time of exam.

CTET Syllabus :-

Central Teacher Eligibility Test Syllabus includes all sections i.e. Child Development, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English-1, English-2, Hindi-1 and Hindi-2 and have 150 multiple choice questions (MCQ) each carrying 1 mark. There is no negative marking for the wrong answer. Time of two and a half hour is given for the paper.

CTET Exam Pattern :-

All questions in CTET test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.

There will be two papers of CTET.
  1. Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  2. Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
